Christian Dior showcased their Resort 2018 Collection last week and it was giving me rustic luxury cowgirl vibes, if that even makes any sense at all. There were various colour schemes within the collection – burnt orange, browns, and olive green – but mostly black and white were the main shades. I feel that Christian Dior was trying to do something different with their resort line this year by not sticking to the typical bright and bold colours that are often linked with the summer season. It seems that they wanted to go towards a more rustic route with the burnt orange and olive hues.

When I think of cowgirl attire, I think of fringe, boots, and a cowgirl hat and Christian Dior was serving just that. The assortment of flowy and tulle dresses reminded me of festival visions that you would see at Coachella. The fashion show was held at Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve in Calabasas, California on a remote mountaintop where various celebs like Rihanna, Solange, and Kelly Rowland were in attendance.
